I've loved to fish (especially fly fishing) since I was very young. My family has been fishing the waters near Lassen National Park since the 1920's and this remains my favorite place to fish.

Although every fisherman loves to catch fish, most will tell you that the beauty of fishing is more than just a fish on the end of the line. There is no other place I would rather be than staring at a river for hours on end. What a great excuse to spend time in such a beautiful place!

Although I am happy fishing the local rivers of California, I have been fortunate enough to fish more exotic locations, such as Chile, Argentina, and New Zealand. In the states I've fished Montana, Wyoming, Washington, Oregon, Colorado.

"Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over the rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs.

I am haunted by waters."
